MONTGOMERY, AL – Ben Hansert has been elected to the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) Board of Trustees as a Member at Large. The election took place during AlaHA’s recent Annual Meeting.
"Ben brings a unique combination of clinical experience, operational expertise and proven leadership," said Danne Howard, President and CEO of the Alabama Hospital Association. “Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing patient care, supporting healthcare professionals, and strengthening the hospitals and communities he serves. We are pleased to welcome him to the Board of Trustees."
Hansert began his healthcare career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Mobile Infirmary and has advanced through a series of leadership positions, including Executive Director of Infirmary Medical Clinics, President of North Baldwin Infirmary and, since 2021, Chief Operating Officer of Mobile Infirmary.
A longtime supporter of AlaHA's mission, Hansert previously served three terms as President of the Southwest Regional Council and has contributed his leadership through service on numerous healthcare and community organizations.
As a Member at Large of the AlaHA Board of Trustees, Hansert will work alongside fellow board members to help guide the Association's efforts to support hospitals and improve healthcare for communities across Alabama.
Founded in 1921, the Alabama Hospital Association represents hospitals and health systems across the state and works to improve healthcare through advocacy, education and member services.
