Description
We're opening our 2018-19 season with Roman Festivals, a big, bold concert of orchestra masterworks. The program takes its title from Ottorino Respighi's vividly descriptive tribute to ancient Rome -- Roman Festivals.
The performance offers another musical take on the Eternal City with the Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz. The concert opens with John Adams' joyfully exuberant Short Ride in a Fast Machine and Richard Strauss' sweeping Rosenkavalier Suite.
