Please join us for a "Live" Facebook event featuring Mary Chavez, a jazz vocalist, pianist and composer from Seattle, Washington. Although primarily self-taught she studied with jazz pianist notables Butch Nordal of the Tonight Show, Randy Halberstadt of Seattle, Washington, and west coast jazz drummer and pianist Thomas Kelly. She also studied classical piano with Whitworth alumni Tom Hall and Taubman technique with Spokane Symphony pianist Linda Sieverts. Mary composes and arranges in a variety of genres including, jazz, Americana, gospel, pop, and blues.
