Join us on the evening of Saturday, July 13th as park friend John S. Sledge, author of the award-winning book, "The Mobile River", narrates a three-hour cruise across the Mobile-Tensaw Delta and down the storied Mobile River leaving a wake of history—some previously untold—behind. An authority on local history and an accomplished story teller, Sledge helps bring people, places, and events from this area’s rich past to life. Signed copies of Sledge’s books will be available for purchase following the tour. The cruise departs from the Blakeley Park dock at 6 PM so that we will have an opportunity catch a glorious sunset on Mobile Bay as we make our way through the port. We return to the park dock at 9 PM.
