Every year during the holiday season, the City of Spanish Fort hosts its 'Twas the Night Before Christmas book reading. This cozy family event is held at the Spanish Fort Community Center. Children are encouraged to wear their warmest pajamas and bring their favorite blanket to sit on. The evening begins with the joyous singing of Christmas carols, putting everyone in the Christmas spirit in anticipation of the main event! With animation and excitement, guest readers read aloud several holiday books, much to the children’s delight. The final story, Clement Clarke Moore’s memorable poem, "'Twas the Night Before Christmas", is read by a very special guest reader from the North Pole! The atmosphere is magical for both the little ones and the grown-ups in attendance. After Storytime, families have a chance to share their holiday hopes with Santa before enjoying cookies and warm cocoa.
