DESCRIPTION:Spanish Fort\, AL October 19\, 2022- Spanish Fort\, Alabama residents are encouraged to shop local and save when they show their Spanish Fort Public Library (SFPL) card at participating local business locations. Participating businesses can be found when you visit https://www.spanishfortpubliclibrary.org/sfplcard Thank you\, area businesses\, for your support of this project and for helping the library reach our community by shopping local for National Gratitude Month. The shop local and save promotion will run from Tuesday November 1 through Wednesday November 30\, 2022. "Spanish Fort has a population of just over 10\,000 and close to 6\,000 residents have library cards. It is my goal to have all 10\,000 residents with a library card!" says Library Director\, Tracy M. Cole. "This campaign is a trifecta of good\, as it will help close that gap\, encourage residents to shop local and save\, all while supporting local businesses." Residents with an active Spanish Fort Public Library card can participate and save by shopping local during the month of November 2022. If you do not have a Spanish Fort Public Library card please visit the library during operating hours or sign-up online when you visit https://www.spanishfortpubliclibrary.org/librarycard. Both the traditional Spanish Fort Public Library card and the new limited-edition READ MORE card can be used in the program. Spanish Fort Public Library opened its doors in October of 2015 and is the first public library for the City of Spanish Fort. With a Spanish Fort Public Library card you will have access to hotspot checkouts\, online resources\, ebooks\, eaudiobooks\, career and resume resources\, ACT/SAT online test prep\, virtual tutoring\, books\, movies\, videogames\, research databases\, tutoring\, and homework help via Homework Alabama\, just to name a few! Having a vibrant public library alongside an engaged community are double wins for our growing city.
