DESCRIPTION:The American Battlefield Trust is the nation's largest nonprofit organization devoted to the preservation of America's hallowed battlegrounds. One of the organization's many programs is its annual "Park Day\," where volunteers assist historic sites in a variety of maintenance projects. Observance of Park Day will take place at Historic Blakeley State Park on Saturday\, April 2nd from 9 AM to Noon. Bring gloves and any brush clearing tools you are comfortable operating\, especially weed eaters. Volunteers will help with be able to help park staff with a variety of maintenance needs as we get ready for our Living History Day (April 9).
